As a Franchisor, we believe that a solid relationship with each of our Franchisees is absolutely critical. We believe that our responsibility is to completely train and then fully support and assist the Franchisee in their pursuit of success. We are committed to being a true partner to each Franchisee. We view this as our goal and corporate responsibility.

 

On-Going Support 

Each Franchisee will have support from The AcademySM Corporate team and from our partner vendors.  We have a team with decades of experience in Private Investigation, Loss Prevention, Human Resources, and business operations.  Our commitment is to be available to our franchisees and assist them with every question or request they may have.

 

The Exclusive Territory

We have carefully selected over one hundred counties in major metropolitan areas around the USA as Academy exclusive territories.  We selected full counties as territories in order to afford each Franchisee the ability to grow their successful business into a multi-unit enterprise.

 

Multi-Territory Purchase

Yes, you as the Franchisee may be granted multiple territory purchase rights for contiguous counties.  This enables you to own and operate several territories at one time, as long as they are all developed simultaneously utilizing a strong business plan.  In instances where territories are not contiguous yet are in close geographical proximity, multi-territory purchases may be considered with a sound business plan.

 

Academy Students and Seminar Attendees

We have created a business that caters to the instructional needs of a very broad range of individuals, from graduating high school seniors to Private Investigators, Loss Prevention Professionals, Security Agents, Human Resources Professionals, Private Process Servers, Business Owners, Business Executives, management staff, supervisors, management trainees, teachers, parents and grandparents, and the public.  This is an enormous potential audience for each Academy unit, offering a virtually inexhaustible supply of Students and Seminar Attendees.

 

Courses and Seminars

Our courses and seminars are proprietary to The AcademySM. Today, there are over forty instructional offerings. These offerings range from single day eight hour seminars to a 160 hour Core Course of Instruction.  All curriculums are bound and are written in outline format for ease of instruction and maximized learning.  Each is professionally written and blends with its corresponding textbook.

 

Textbooks

We have written over 28 proprietary textbooks for The AcademySM, a process that is on-going as we add more courses and more seminars to our expansive list of educational offerings.  These texts are hardbound with gold foil spine stamping. Experts from around the USA have written our books, at least one of which accompanies each course and seminar.  These textbooks are available exclusively at The AcademySM.

 

Instructor Selection

We will assist you in identifying and selecting fully qualified instructors for each course and seminar.  The success of a course or seminar is dependent upon the quality of the instructor. We will assist you in ensuring that each instructor is fully qualified to teach, and that they have the right background, passion for the curriculum, and that the instruction will be engaging and interesting.

The courses and seminars are designed to be taught by professionals in the subject matter being taught. For example, the Homicide Course can be taught by a Police Homicide Detective, the Arson Investigation Course can be taught by an Arson Investigator from the Fire Department, the Private Process Server Seminar can be taught by a Registered Private Process Server.  All of these instructors are available in abundance right in your own community.

 

ROI & ROI

We are committed to helping you to maximize your Return on Investment.  We make no earnings claims, because each Franchisee controls their own territory’s earnings.  We are equally committed to helping you to quickly reacquire your initial expenses (Return Of Investment) by way of pre-registration and the Copeland On Loss Seminar.  Both ROI’s are as important to us as they are to you!

 

Franchisee Training

We provide every new franchisee with a thorough two week training session. Virtually every aspect of the business is covered in the training. It is our commitment that when the training is completed every franchisee will completely understand The AcademySM business. You will be ready to start your business with complete confidence and run a successful business.

 

Business Operations Manual

We have written and produced a very thorough Franchise Operations    Manual. This operating manual outlines the methods and practices that you will need to run a successful business. Among the many items contained in the manual are; business policies, procedures and standards, marketing details, the associate handbook, the student handbook, record keeping standards, instructor certification standards, and much more.

 

Web Site / E-Mail

We have designed and registered our web site, and we provide each      franchise location with their own exclusive web site. You will be able to market your Academy on your own Academy web site, list all courses and seminars offered, and post course and seminar schedules.  We also provide each franchise owner with e-mail accounts for the owner and all staff members.

We also provide our franchisees with access to our supply and marketing product order site. Each franchisee will order their business supplies directly from this site. Business cards, stationery, marketing brochures, and a variety of “Logo” marketing items are available from this site.

 

Continuing Research & Development

The AcademySM Corporate staff will continue to develop additional course and seminar offerings that meet the educational needs of your community and business clients.

 

Low Overhead and Low Start-Up Costs

Unlike many franchises, The AcademySM franchise startup costs are relatively low. There are no major capital expense costs required to start your business. It does not require expensive equipment, construction costs, or wait time to build a facility.  The seminars and most of the courses do not require licensing, so you can start generating income almost immediately through our pre-registration process.

 

Grand Opening Event Assistance

We place great importance on the Grand Opening Event, as this event can help you establish your business within the community and be a great resource for very positive publicity. It can bring hundreds of people to your Academy location and generate many customers for your business.

As soon as your Academy location is up and running and you feel ready to invite the entire city to visit your Academy, we will assist you with a grand opening event that is sure to attract a crowd. One of the Opening Events that we recommend and assist you with is the “Copeland On Loss” and “Child Safety with Klaas” seminar.  The event is designed to start with a seminar featuring Marc Klaas and Bill Copeland. Upon completion of the seminar, the attendees leave the seminar to meet at The AcademySM  to join the community for a KlaasKids Print-A-Thon.

The KlaasKids Print-A-Thon is a high energy child safety event utilizing 21st Century technology. Marc Klaas and members of his Foundation fingerprint and photograph children, provide their parents with DNA Collection Kits, pro-active child safety information and a nine-point plan on what to do if children disappear.

Child safety is a family priority making the Print-A-Thon a perfect “Cause Related” marketing event.  This is an outstanding way for a new Academy to demonstrate their commitment to current and potential customers by bringing a value packed, high energy event to the community.

The KlaasKids Foundation will leverage their national reputation to promote the Print-A-Thon and they assist the franchisee to assure success of the event by providing the following:
 

  • Press advisories and press releases are distributed to a complete listing of television stations, radio stations, and daily and community newspapers within a 40 mile radius of your event location.
  • They can provide you with Beta quality Public Service Announcement (PSA) video introductions for local television and radio stations.
  • They will assist in developing low cost but effective advertising strategies such as day care and elementary school parent notices.
  • Your local radio, television stations and newspapers will have direct access by phone for Marc Klaas to support your event with remote interviews or to record public service announcements on your behalf. 
  • The digital systems used to facilitate the Print-A-Thon were originally developed for a federal law enforcement agency and have proven to draw free press attention with your business as the place to see it, resulting in a huge positive impact on your reputation in the community!
  • KlaasKids serves English and Spanish language populations.
  • The KlaasKids website will list your event and provide a hot link to your website.
  • Since the KlaasKids Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, all program fees are tax deductible.

The Print-A-Thon produces a win/win relationship for all participants.  The franchisee wins through image enhancement, increased business prospects and by fulfilling their social responsibility.  Concerned citizens win by giving back to the community and becoming role models. Society wins by linking together to become an integral part of the solution. Children win because they become educated about and protected from crime abuse and neglect.
